Outlook 2016 IMAP workaround

Users of Outlook 2016 may have trouble deleting emails when connected to our systems via IMAP
This is due to a change that Microsoft made in Outlook 2016 that affects the compatibility with the server software we use
To get this function working again:
  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File → Info → Account Settings → Account Settings...

  3. Double click your IMAP account

  4. Click "More Settings..."

  5. Click the "Advanced" tab. Make sure BOTH of the checkboxes are CHECKED (it should look like the screenshot below)

  6. Click OK → Next → Finish → Close
  7. You're done!
